Tear up your daily itinerary because Jim & Eric are back to cover the latest episode of Halt and Catch Fire. We discuss the latest versions of Joe and Cameron, the increasingly problematic situations inside Mutiny and the Clark house, and top it off with a good dose of Matthew Lillard love. Come relive your high-powered cocaine-fueled glory days with us.
Special thanks to Brian Strader for bravely and against all odds commissioning the 90’s era sci-fi drama “Babylon 5”. Jim and I thought such a sprawling project couldn’t be properly covered in just three episodes, given our bias against the series dated FX, questionable set and costuming, and our rabid pro-Trek bias. But, amazingly, he selected three beauts that we feel gave us a newfound respect and understanding of the Babylon 5 fandom. Tune in if you want to hear a lot of comparisons and contrasts between B5 and DS9, discussion of interstellar sex, and appreciation for the emoting of snake men and owl people.
Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch of season one of HBO’s Game of Thrones series, with episode 108, “The Pointy End”. Another incredible early season episode, action packed with two epic fight scenes, direwolf savagery, zombie killings, Lannister wheeling and dealing, and intrigues and treachery galore. All this, and a ton of feedback, plus our customary spoiler section at the end where we talk about lore, character motivations, foreshadowing, and the rare continuity problem or two.
The Social Network is amazing. Just watch it.
A Mr. Robot episode without Mr. Robot? Can such a thing actually be allowed to happen, and if it does, will anyone enjoy the result? The answer, actually, is yes. It isn’t a perfect episode, and suffers from issues that may or may not bother you, but we loved it. We discuss karaoke, Mr. Robots influence on and by The Leftovers, what is up with Angela? no seriously, what is up with Angela?, Darlene finding her dark side, and we explode pacemaker theories. All this, tons of great feedback, and more Duck Phillips jokes than you can shake a stick at, coming your way.
We’re back from the island and ready for another lunch.

Well, season three of Halt and Catch Fire certainly shook things up for our heroes. The consensus is that these first two episodes have taken the show to the next level— but there is much still yet to be revealed. Donna and Gordon picked up right where they left off, but tension is always present on the…
