It’s the last ride of Rick and Michonne (maybe) and it’s streets ahead of the previous episode. Jim and A.Ron feel like they’ve seen this plot before…oh yeah, The Walking Dead is recycling their scripts again. The finale is a clip show of past foul deeds. Petition for Jim and A.Ron to do some rewrites.
The zombie apocalypse is a lot nicer when you have noodles and drinks. Jim hated this episode of The Ones Who Live, A.Ron found a few things to like. Jadis gets her moment in the spotlight (ew). There’s a new zombie type. George Lucas must have written the dialogue. Next week is the series finale!
On this episode of The Ones Who Live, silly action is balanced out by the stunning performances. Danai Gurira not only plays Michonne, she also wrote the script. A.Ron appreciates the emotional levels of this episode, Jim says “beep, boop”. Will Rick come back to his family? Doubtful since Judith was never mentioned.
Rick and Michonne are in love and they need to hide it better. Surely Jadis knows her haircut is stupid. Jim and A.Ron have some strong opinions on fries vs. onion rings…and on The Ones Who Live, of course! (Stay focused, guys.) Listen in on that latest TOWL talk and Jim’s 500 year plan to take over podcasting.
The second episode of The Ones Who Live catches up with Michonne. Danai Gurira’s stellar performance overshadows the classic silliness of TWD. The Harfoots make an appearance. Once the Grimes are combined, it’s go time. What special name would you give to the zombies?
Jim and A.Ron are back in the world of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Scott Gimple’s fingerprints are all over this new project. Rick now matches his original comic book representation, a new super grain, and flaming hot zombies. Beware those Delts!
Shuffle and lurch your way back into the world of The Walking Dead with AMC’s The Ones Who Live. A.Ron and Jim are continuing their running commentary on the unkillable saga. Tune in to find out how Michonne and Rick reunite!
We’re mixing our bags in the finale of The Walking Dead’s “Daryl Dixon”. It’s not all doom and gloom here. Some positivity peeks out from behind the typical Walking Dead stormclouds to show us a tale that could have been. Did they stick the landing despite some muddy ground? Join us for the review to find out.
This episode is a cry for help from the writer’s room. This episode reveals that the non-linear storytelling was more of a crutch than anything else. However, the emotional beats within this episode reach a depth hitherto never seen on The Walking Dead. As we gear up for the finale, we’re holding out hope that this could actually stick the landing (in TWD terms of course).
