Bald Move Prestige - A Cure for Wellness (2017)

A.Ron and Jim saw A Cure for Wellness, the ambitious but ultimately flawed psychological horror film by Gore Verbinski. It’s got a lot of things going for it; a spectacular and committed cast (Mia Goth, Dane DeHaan, Jason Isaacs), great visuals, disturbing imagery galore, yet manages to build very little suspense and ultimately leads up to exactly what you think it will 30 minutes into the film. Ultimately, we can’t recommend this film, although we think it was a worthy film making attempt. After discussing our brief non-spoiler thoughts on the movie, we discuss the trailers we saw before the feature, and then break down the twists of the film, such as they are, in the Club Bald Move exclusive spoiler section.

Legion - 102 – Chapter 2

Jason, A.Ron and Jim get a bit of an Empire Strikes Back vibe from the second episode of FX’s Legion, which tones down a bit of the psychedelic trippiness in favor of world and character building. Join us for a stroll through David’s museum of memories as we talk about the highlights and further mysteries of shadowy government agencies and the mutants who rebel against them.

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 709 – Rock in the Road

Jim and A.Ron are back to further chronicle the legendary journeys of one Rick Grimes and his merry band of post apocalyptic crazies. This week, we consider “A Rock in the Road”, which we found to be an amazing episode in terms of epic clothes lines, and considerably less so when judging by its titular morality tale. Speaking of morality, there is some rampant Morgalizing in this episode. But we get just the right amount of Negan. All this plus explosions and fan feedback!
