Life is Strange – Episode 5 – The Raisin Principal

The grande finale is upon us… for the second time.  Join us as we semi-wonder at all of the things we’ve seen once before.  Will it turn out exactly the same as the garbled mess of a video that we were unable to release the first time we recorded it?  Will Mr. Wells’ career and body die on the vine and wither away to nothing?  Only this episode will tell.

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 713 – Bury Me Here

Jim and A.Ron agree that AMC’s The Walking Dead delivered an entertaining episode with “Bury Me Here”, but maybe not for the reason we were supposed to. Hilariously bad premises, unbelievable payoffs to trivial moments, characters getting massive backstory dumps before being unceremoniously bumped off… it’s a pretty full “Bad Walking Dead Bingo” card. But hey, an end to the era of rampant Morgalizing, so that’s something!

LWJ&A – Episode 106

We should have several more pieces of flare to show off this week as well as a whole bunch more questions from the audience. This thing is really turning into a weekly Q&A, isn’t it?

Legion - 105 – Chapter 5

The guys tuck into another episode of FX’s Legion, “Chapter Five”. David finds his happy place before going on a certified psychokinetic rampage, Cary reunites with his sister, Syd confesses to a very unconventional tryst, and the whole gang gets their minds’ swiped into a demented therapy session by the demon with yellow eyes. Lots to discuss! Plus feedback! And then; spoilers!

Bald Move Pulp - Kong: Skull Island (2017)

Jim and A.Ron have seen the majestic Kong: Skull Island, and are… not underwhelmed. Not overwhelmed, certainly. I’d say we were properly whelmed. This is an expensive, state of the art monster movie, and delivers the goods that you were expecting. Unfortunately, 90% of its best moments are captured perfectly by the movie’s trailer, which is a shame, and maybe we shouldn’t judge it for that, but there it is. We also break down a few trailers for upcoming movies as is our wont, but if you want to hear Kong-sized spoilers about Skull Crawlers and giant Stick Bugs, you’re going to have to be a Club Bald Move member.

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 712 – Say Yes

Jim and A.Ron are reasonably pleased with the latest episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead, “Say Yes”. After many long years, TWD finally found a way to have a philosophical argument about “why we fight” and “what’ it’s like out there” and “this is the way the world works” that doesn’t actually involve any of those words, and inserts a few new ones, “hope” and “future”. The fact that it goes down between Rick and Michonne, characters with chemistry that we actually care about, makes it that much sweeter. But then there’s some dodgy action, and that whole mess with Rosita, and literal garbage people, and you know? Our feelings are complicated.
