The Bear – S02E04-6

It’s a chaotic family reunion to rival all chaotic family reunions. Between the enablers, pacifiers, and people who just can’t be normal, you might have flashbacks to that one traumatic Thanksgiving years ago. And when it becomes too much to bear (ha), the show will give you a break. Put your phone down for this watch, you’ll get so much more.

Return of the Jedi (1983) – 40th Anniversary Rerelease

Bald Move is rereleasing this very special pod in honor of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi! Tune in and chill out to a very special episode from the Bald Move archive.
Once again commissioner Fernando Rodriguez (you may better know him as FernNYC17 on our forums) steps up with a choice selection, this time the oft maligned Return of the Jedi. Often dismissed as derivative or childish when compared to A New Hope or The Empire Strikes Back respectively, we have nothing but love for the climax of the story of Skywalker. It’s got the best space battle, the best lightsabre battle, and the best puppets in all of Star Wars. The Special Edition changes? Not so much love.
Note: This podcast was recorded out of order because we needed a live podcast we could do that was accessible and at least semi-family friendly for the Rocket City Nerd Con.

Yellowjackets - S02E06 – Qui – Feedback

Is all the misfortune a direct result of the girls unknowingly dumping their waste on a sacred site? Is there a thermal vent in the forest that makes a natural crock pot? Why does it seem like there’s a source of energy coming out of the ground? As some theories get scratched off of the list, A.Ron presents a new one. It’s called “The Human Turducken”, and you should listen to find out what he’s talking about.

Why is Mr. Feeny a Car? - S02E06 – The Dukes of Hazzard (1979) – Bad Day in Hazzard

On the second half of this season of Mr. Feeny, we’re checking out the BEST episodes of the series we’ve already seen, starting with The Dukes of Hazzard’s S04E023, “Bad Day in Hazzard”. In this one, the Duke family and the forces of Boss Hogg are held at gunpoint as part of a daring scheme to steal millions from the US Treasury. Will Jay find the heel/face team up interesting, or will the Dukes much of a muchness wear thin?

Growth Decay Transformation - S01E06 – “Uncertainty Principle”

Who was Heisenberg? No, not Walt’s alter ego. Who was Werner Heisenberg? And what are the parallels between him and Walt? As Walt emotionally pulls away from his family, he starts to bond with Jesse. For a man who claims to be risk-averse, Walt is very comfortable making dangerous bluffs. Hank certainly thinks he’s the smartest man in the room, so why was Walt able to fly under the radar for so long? Want to see these dichotomies play out for yourself? Pete and Courtney say this episode makes for a great rewatch.

The Last of Us - S01E06 – Kin – Feedback

We’ve got a Bloater-size feedback bag this week. Turns out the show Jim pitched already exists in multiple iterations. For the last time, that is a menstrual cup, ok? Is the dog sniffing test equivalent to a PCR or home covid test? What’s the difference between Jackson and Jackson Hole? And if you think Jim and A.Ron are faking their enjoyment, go listen to Bald Move’s Mandalorian podcast.

The Last of Us - S01E06 – Kin

The emotional damage is high this episode. After the horrors of clickers, raiders, and the Kansas City QZ, Joel and Ellie arrive in Jackson, Wyoming. There are family reunions and safety in this peaceful settlement, but there’s trouble in paradise. Joel considers parting ways with Ellie, and understandably, Ellie is upset. Tune into this podcast before we get the result of the cliffhanger in the next episode of The Last of Us.
