We might be in the minority on this one… but this was not the episode we were hoping for just 2 weeks from the end Better Call Saul. Join us for the podcast while we try to sort out our feelings and justify to ourselves why we feel the way we do.
CHAMPION. CHARISMA. CHARACTER.
This is the last Badass Stream of 2022. Jim and A.Ron revisit their rules, rankings, and results. Are there cracks forming in the faces of Mt. Buffmore? Listen to the Hall of Fame museum layout plans that will be built in Los Angeles 2049 (I hope). Thanks for joining us in our Badass rankings and we’ll see you next year!
Steve and Anthony discuss errant Starbucks coffee cups and misguided appeals to Cersei’s better nature. But what could be overlooked in this episode is a stunning and compelling irony: Sansa betrays Jon in order to elevate him. It’s a brilliant plot flourish that only Game of Thrones can pull off.
We’re back for another round of your feedback. We’ll have at least one more of these after the finale so send your feedback in to fam@baldmove.com.
Yes, Westworld S04E06 “Fidelity” contains a ridiculous action scene, but it importantly recontextualizes some of the strange things we saw in previous episodes and serves up plenty of other scenes of interest that more than make this a good episode of Westworld.
We’re in the “buckle up and don’t think about it too much” phase of this season. Lipstickgate makes a brief appearance. We get some answers about Caleb. But as it goes with Westworld, one answer leads to many more questions. Join us as we go through your questions and theories for this week’s episode, Fidelity.
No spoilers! But Steve and Anthony have viewed the first episode of House of the Dragon. Both were impressed and are optimistic about the show going forward.
Lunchtime! Get the rundown of A.Ron’s adventures in LA at the HOTD premiere and the holy grail of West Coast food, In-N-Out. Is that four-footed dragon logo a marketing ploy or theory-crafting fodder? With some Internet entertainers relying on getting paid for giving good reviews, Jim and A.Ron are proud to say they will talk shit about any show, any day if it’s their honest opinion.
We’re rereleasing our episode on The Lost Boys (1987) in honor of the movie’s 35th anniversary!
Special thanks to Saylor from Santa Cruz, the latest Bald Move Fantasy Football champ to claim their prize for winning the league. Emerging from the pile victorious, he has selected the 1997 vampire flick, The Lost Boys. Helmed by Joel Schumacher and chocked equally full of cool and hilarious moments and extremely questionable decisions, the film manages to confound and delight. Why is 16 year old Corey Haim taking baths and being tucked into bed by his mother? Why is there a shirtless oiled up, muscle bound sax player? Why is Rob Lowe gazing seductively from Haim’s bedroom closet, and more importantly, why is Jim completely oblivious to his siren’s call? Is the grandpa a vampire or what? All these questions and more are explored in the depth to which they deserve.
