The season finale of The Book of Boba Fett didn’t exactly wow us despite a near-hour-long action sequence that includes pretty much every character that has ever appeared on screen in Star Wars or any other cinematic universe. (I think Goofy is even in the background somewhere.) Join us for a discussion about what worked and what didn’t, but if you’re a big fan of what’s been happening on Book of Boba this season… maybe skip this one.
Come with us on a journey to glimpse the elusive creature known as the “Boba Fett”. Together, we will take to the sands of Tatooine, venturing into its natural habitat to catch a sight more rare than a hope chest full of spice. Be sure to gaze upon it only briefly however, for the Boba Fett is a timid and skittish creature which can be easily startled, retreating back into its hiding hole.
The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian marks a return to form, but we’re beginning to think that’s because The Mandalorian is the new “coolest character” in Star Wars, as Boba Fett is completely absent from his own show this week. We’re also treated to a hot rod that puts the modders mopeds to shame in an excellent cameo from the prequels.
This episode made Boba Fett look like a real buffoon. Unfortunately, that’s not our recollection of the character from the original series and there are no number of “flashbactas” that can make us ok with it. Join us for the episode for some talk about what didn’t work and why.
The obligatory action scene this week is a real disappointment but the rest of the episode held up pretty well. Join us for the podcast to hear our thoughts on The Book of Boba Fett’s third chapter, The Streets of Mos Espa.
The second episode of The Book of Boba Fett was objectively better in almost every way. The desert scenes were infinitely more interesting, the action scenes more exciting, and it feels like it’s going somewhere. Join us for the podcast to hear our thoughts on the much-improved The Tribes of Tatooine.
We’re going back to Tatooine this week with Disney’s newest Star Wars series, The Book of Boba Fett. Join us on the podcast for a discussion of the first chapter of the story that everyone has wanted for the past 4 decades.
The Mandalorian is leaving our lives for another year, but not before delivering a mind-blowing amount of fan service and a major announcement of… something. Join us for the season finale discussion and enjoy the podcast. See you next season!
Mando is still on the hunt for Baby Yoda this week, with several friends and former foes in tow to help him out. We discuss all the Star Wars action, as well as the ways things get messy when your religious Mandalorian rules clash with real life.
This week on The Mandalorian there are several moments that Star Wars fans have been waiting decades for. You’ve probably already seen the episode but I won’t say too much, just in case. The stormtroopers might be dumb, but they’re also up against one of the best. Join us for our discussion of The Manadalorian.
