You get what you see in the trailer with this movie, and that’s a good thing. The big, messy gore will entertain you, you sick individual. The cast will have you saying, “Hey, I recognize them!” every couple of minutes. And it’s all based on a true story from the 1980s! So, maybe this is technically a historical drama? Club members, you’ll get the strangest and most hilarious play by play for this crazy-fun movie.
The Many Saints of Newark exists as several movies in one, trying to be something more than just a Sopranos prequel, and ultimately doesn’t excel at anything except casting. If you’re a die-hard fan of The Sopranos, you’ll definitely want to check it out, as it sheds new light on the events and relationships of the series. If you’re a fan of gangster movies, you might want to check it out after you’ve watched all of the many other, much better gangster movies. If you’re neither, why are you even here?
Marriage Story is deceptively named, it has a deceptive poster, and its characters are deceiving (or at least deluding) themselves and their spouse. It’s a passionate movie that also feels real in the way that it could happen to anyone anywhere, even though its happening to two exceptionally successful people.
