It’s a slick episode of Shogun. Mariko, played by Anna Sawai, has been a stand out character since the pilot. In this episode she unleashes her full power and charges full steam ahead into battle. Yabushige is just as psychotic and humorous as before. Would he make a last minute “conversion” to save his own skin? It might be the laugh Jim and A.Ron need after this episode.
The tides are turning on the newest episode of Fargo. Roy is fully a nightmare. We’re starting to feel sorry for Gator. Ole Munch walks off into the mist. And Dot’s true history comes to light. With the ending of the season in sight, Jim and A.Ron are wondering what is true and what is all a “dream”?
Since Jim is still crusty, B. Michael Krol steps up to co-host AppleTV’s For All Mankind with A.Ron. With the end of the season rapidly approaching, the threads are starting to tangle. Margot has a rendezvous with Sergei, the North Koreans wired the base for sound, and Ed might come clean to his daughter. Will the Goldilocks asteroid shake things up? It’s a musical episode that is out of this world, literally! A.Ron loved it, Jim hated it. But both agree that Pelia is annoying. Jim and A.Ron had some predictions on which cast members would make good singers…find out if they were right! And somebody please stop Spock from taking a red pill.
The last course is served on this season of The Bear. This character study was an exquisite sweet and salty combo that encapsulated the nuances of being a flawed human being. Between the laughs and heartbreak, there’s a smorgasbord of colorful characters you don’t want to miss.
Catch some of the details that you might have missed in season 2. Is there more rationale to this show than we think, or are we grasping for straws? The adults don’t feel as relatable as they were in season 1. And certain plot points have been left by the wayside. One listener begs the question; are we as an audience ok?
The season finale is here and it was a hit and a miss. There were some strong plot choices that we’re looking forward to continuing in the next season. But characters are making choices that seem, well, out of character. The women at Lottie’s compound have some hard decisions to make. Walter continues to be an entertaining enigma. We still don’t know who the pit girl is, but we’re running out of teenagers.
IMDB really picked a gem of an AIRWOLF episode for us this week! David Carridine? A sorta/quasi showdown with an evil Airwolf? A fiery redhead last seen doing cow math on Knight Rider? Some nice character work between Dom and String? This episode has it all, along with some terrific helicopter action sequences and pulse pounding synth holding it all together. Pure nostalgic bliss!
