Mutiny Community - 309 & 310 – Nix & NeXT

Halt and Catch Fire season 3 has come to an end, and by God, it deserves a ton of credit for being awesome. The character growth, the intrinsic love story, the shoutout to Al Gore- it all adds up to a satisfying ride with some of our favorite characters on television. The best news? A final season has been announced for this show, which means that we get to have real closure with these characters sometime next year. Tell your friends, more people need to be watching this show!

Bald Move Pulp - 20 Million Downloads Q&A Extravaganza!

We recently hit a major milestone in Bald Move history. October 12 marked Jim’s 10 year podcast anniversary, and over the summer we passed the 20 Million total podcast downloads mark. Both are worthy of celebration. As is tradition, we celebrate by letting our loyal listeners pepper us with questions both insightful and insane, and we do our best to answer them.

Watching Westworld - 102 – Chestnut

Jim and A.Ron have a lot to say about the second episode of HBO’s new hit series, Westworld, entitled “Chestnut”. We talk a lot about the developing characters and mysteries of the show, trying to figure out what Bernard and Dr. Ford are up to, while trying to understand the motives and mind of Dolores. Along the way, we find out surprising things about each other, like our true feelings about dusty old prospectors found lying in the street. It’s quiet beautiful, really. And hey, we got lots of feedback, theories, and analysis by our dashing and witty listeners!

American Horror Story Podcast - 604 – Chapter 4

It’s fitting that the worst, most disjointed American Horror Story episode (thus far!) from the “My Roanoke Nightmare” season would be an homage to the worst, most disjointed season of AHS of all time. But still, we can’t help but look forward to episode six when Murphy and company have promised this season is going to go bonkers on us. Until then, we’re having fun trying to wrap our heads around the bizarre decisions these terrible people are making, squirming at some of the inventive torture murders on display, and trying out the latest Cathy Bates accents. One more week of homage until the hammer drops! See you then.

LWJ&A – Episode 87

We’re ready for the first lunch in our new studio. It might look a lot like the old studio. That’s by design though. Don’t worry, you’re not caught in a time vortex.

The Because Show - Ep 181 Bang for Your Buck

There’s plenty of bang for your buck in this episode, plus Amy and Susan are both bangin’. Hear all about Susan’s trip to Burning Man, so you can live vicariously through her without actually  having to go. And Amy has a mild freakout over Evil Elmo, which was not a Burning Man hallucination. Plus there’s…

Bald Move Prestige - Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)

Eric Cunanan commissioned us to watch the classic 1992 drama, Glengarry Glen Ross, directed by James Foley and based on the stage play by David Mamet. If megawatt star power (Al Pacino, Jack Lemon, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, Alan Arkin among others), crisp, lyrical, profane dialog, and meditations on the death of the American Dream sound like something you’re into, you should give this movie a shot if you haven’t already.

Watching Westworld - 101 – The Original

Jim and A.Ron are incredibly impressed with the first episode of HBO’s new sci-fi western, Westworld. It was one of the best pilots we’ve ever seen, packing an amazing amount of mystery and world-building in just one hour, laying a great foundation for the rest of first season. We discuss our relative comfort with the co
