Mutiny Community - 305 – Yerba Buena

The season may have just hit a bottleneck at the halfway point. We discuss the seesaw nature of the characters as we try to pin down the root cause of our dissatisfaction with the episode. Does Joe have HIV? Is Cameron married or just engaged? What is this week’s Tandy Shandy recipe? Join us while we discuss episode 305… after all, It’s always a bad idea to bet against openness.

HOTD: A House of the Dragon Podcast - 110 – Fire and Blood

Welcome to our coverage of the final episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones series, “Fire and Blood”. This episode provides a bit of both substances. We talk about the surprising success of Dany’s little ritual, a shockingly spry Grand Maester, the promise of an epic ranging of the Night’s Watch, and Robb being proclaimed DA KING IN DA NORFFF!! by his loyal bannermen. Not to mention tons of feedback, and our spoiler section safely tucked at the end of our podcast to avoid the ruination of future episodes for the first time fans.

Bald Move Prestige - Falling Down (1993)

Special thanks to Ruben from Boston who selected the 1993 Joel Schumacher drama/thriller/anger-porno “Falling Down” as the subject of this podcast. And it got us thinking a lot about where we were when we first saw this movie, and where we’re at now, how this film fits into the pantheon of well made, highly regarded films, how it’s aged, and what its meanings are. Plus, we do a bonus retrospective of the strange career of wild excess that is Joel Schumacher.

2-Bit Encryption - A Mr. Robot Podcast - 210 – eps2.8_h1dden_pr0cess.axx

Jim and A.Ron take on episode 210 of USA’s Mr. Robot, “eps2.8_h1dden_pr0cess.axx”. Lots, and lots of Easter eggs this week, many of them still unsolved and mysterious at the time of our podcast recording… what does it mean? A.Ron’s hot on some of the crazier Tyrell theories, and Jim remains openly skeptical of any android/cyborg connection. One thing we agree on? Phillip Price is the worst.

Bald Move Prestige - Sully (2016)

It’s rare that a disaster movie comes out that isn’t completely over wrought, or sensationalized, much less one that is wholly positive and uplifting, but Sully, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks at his Tom Hanksiest, is just such a movie. Even our podcast’s automatic pilot system, Jim Jones, was moved by the depiction of the sort of everyday heroism that can save 155 souls, and unite a country in a sense of admiration and gratitude. Plus, we talk crap about new trailers and the unruly elderly audience we enjoyed this film with.

2-Bit Encryption - A Mr. Robot Podcast - 209 – eps2.7_init_5.fve

We’re back for another in-depth review and recap of USA’s Mr. Robot, episode 209, “eps2.7_init_5.fve”. Starting off slow, it builds to a few intriguing possibilities in the form of wheezing man at the Susan’s house, a knock on Darlene’s door, and our least favorite attractive crazy person, Joanna rolling up on Elliot. We discuss morphine pops, crazy A.I. and Tyrell theories, and try to unravel the timeline issues from the last two episodes. All this plus all the feedback you can shake a Pwn Phone at!

Bald Move Pulp - Babylon 5

Special thanks to Brian Strader for bravely and against all odds commissioning the 90’s era sci-fi drama “Babylon 5”. Jim and I thought such a sprawling project couldn’t be properly covered in just three episodes, given our bias against the series dated FX, questionable set and costuming, and our rabid pro-Trek bias. But, amazingly, he selected three beauts that we feel gave us a newfound respect and understanding of the Babylon 5 fandom. Tune in if you want to hear a lot of comparisons and contrasts between B5 and DS9, discussion of interstellar sex, and appreciation for the emoting of snake men and owl people.
