If you’re a fan of robots, AI, Asimov-ian scifi, this might be the movie for you. Following on the all-too-relevant theme of AI, The Creator tells the story of a future where a large part of the world has embraced augmented humans, and the other hates it. It’s visually arresting and sometimes tonally unbalanced, but it will leave you with plenty to think about. And it was a struggle to get into the theater, so thank Jim and A.Ron for braving the difficulties.

Nic Cage terrorizes innocents as the notorious Dracula. And the other Nic, Nicholas Hoult, is a delightful balance as Renfield, his familiar. Awkwafina and Shoreh Aghdasloo round out the cast as they bring comedy and gravitas respectively to this cult classic in the making. It has violence, laughs, and a meaningful metaphor. Sink your teeth into this First Run Bald Movie.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is a return to form. It’s beautiful to look at, the action is fun, and there’s some laugh out loud moments. A.Ron has deemed the production design as “wealthcore” aesthetic (let’s see how long it takes for that to trend on TikTok). Jim has a hot take on Keanu Reeves as an actor.
