Thanks to Anthony Basich for commissioning this podcast, and quite frankly, changing our entire mind about the Mad Max franchise. We think 1981’s “The Road Warrior”, directed by George Miller and starring Mel Gibson, is awesome, and stands up to any of it’s 80’s action movie brethren in a competition about holding up and entertaining a modern audience. We discuss feral kids, post-apocalyptic sexuality, the economics of a refinery under constant attack, working with animals in the movies, and much more.

Jim and A.Ron re-watch the classic Breaking Bad episode, “One Minute”. We have a lot to say about Walt and Jesse’s messed up relationship, turning points for Hank, and Gus’s schemes. All this, a robust spoiler section, and some feedback from our fellow fans.
Jim and A.Ron discuss episode 102 of Fear the Walking Dead, “So Close, Yet So Far”. Jim thinks it’s an improvement from the Pilot episode, while A.Ron sees it as more evidence that the TWD team is doubling down on some of the parent show’s worse tendencies and tropes. We discuss not discussing things, how many times Madison will get Calvin’d, Tobias as a potential post-apocalyptic survival god, tons of your great feedback, and much more.

Starts approximately at 1pm EST! The boys will be talking A.Ron’s birthday, our Beaver Island vacation (that’s not a euphemism, I promise), and whatever you peeps want to ask / hear about!
We discuss the merits of the ABQ’s acting talent and the amazing stunt that Walt pulls to, once again, narrowly escape the clutches of his deserved fate.
Jim and I have a lot of thoughts on the 90 minute pilot of Fear the Walking Dead, episode 101, “Pilot”. Is Nick’s portrayal of a drug addled teen realistic, or just annoying? Is the step father Travis well meaning, or an enabler? Is the mom Madison smart and savvy, or frustratingly in denial about what’s going on around her? Will we as the audience have fun watching and waiting for the characters to catch up to our knowledge of basic Zombology, or will it be tedious? And just when will Matt wake up and realize he can do so much better than the patronizing and frankly douchey Alicia? The jury is still out on a lot of these questions, but we along with our fellow fans sift through the episode for as many answers and indicators as we can.
