The guys tuck into another episode of FX’s Legion, “Chapter Five”. David finds his happy place before going on a certified psychokinetic rampage, Cary reunites with his sister, Syd confesses to a very unconventional tryst, and the whole gang gets their minds’ swiped into a demented therapy session by the demon with yellow eyes. Lots to discuss! Plus feedback! And then; spoilers!
When we began this podcast, we expected to have a lot of fun laughing at the crazy outfits and Jude Law strutting around chewing scenery left and right. And we were right about that, that is pretty funny and a delight to look at. But these last few episodes have revealed a show with much more substance than we were initially led to believe with the premise. What sort of revolution is the Young Pope wanting to lead? Can the Pope continue to cow heretics and Prime Ministers alike with threats of no win situations and divine retribution? Is Jude Law’s butt proof of the existence of God?
Looks like multiple timelines is back on the menu! Just when we had completely written of the various timeline theories, they come roaring back in episode 105, “Contrapasso”. Not saying that any theory at this point is on entirely solid ground, but let’s just say we’ve got our laser-based satellite receivers aimed squarely at Orion’s belt. The point is a lot went down this episode. El Lazo turns out to be Lawerence, Dolores comes out slingin’, Elsie’s pounding Bernard’s desk with bloody robot parts, and Dr. Ford has a personal showdown with the mysterious Man in Black. Lots of stuff to be read into this week, and we spend a good amount of time doing just that. Plus, tons of feedback on evolution, ethics, and genitalia!
Watch us record the podcast, including all the sound checks, flubs, and riveting research breaks that you’ve always wished you could see… Hey, at least you can hear the podcast before anyone else.
Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch of season one of HBO’s Game of Thrones series, focusing on episode 105, “The Wolf and the Lion”. Tyrion gets a room with a view, Catelyn regrets some recent life choices, Robert and Ned have a falling out, and Ned used to be an adventurer like you, and then… well, you know.
This is a podcast where Jim and I, using tools created for the purpose, randomly generate a title for a fictional TV show. We then pitch ideas to each other based on what that show would be like if it were real. We like to call it, “Quit Yer Pitchin’!”
Jim and A.Ron put on swanky suits and trade away our Rolex watches for an opportunity to talk about the latest Fear the Walking Dead episode, “Cobalt”. Soldiers are breaking ranks, Travis misses 100% of the shots he doesn’t take, Nick has the skills to pay Tuxedo Man’s bills, and pants are hotter than ever as the ominous Operation Cobalt begins to swing into action. All this plus tons and tons of feedback from our fellow fans.
Jim and A.Ron try to unravel Operation “Cobalt”, which is featured in episode 105 of “Fear the Walking Dead”…
Soldiers get flayed, Nick has a certain set of skills, Alicia gets a bit too revealing with Chris, and Mrs. Barbershop gets some controversial medical attention. What did you think? Hit us up at the links below, and let us know!
