Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 607 – Heads Up – Instant Take

So, we got some clarity on a Big Event that happened Earlier This Season with tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Heads up”… Obviously that’s a lot to talk about, but we also have some moral philosophy debates between Morgan, Rick, Carol, and others, with Carol possibly getting some remorse for the way she’s rolled since infection ran wild in the prison.  Should she?  Michonne has some thoughts on Deanna’s “Barly == Intellect” plans, but we aren’t privy to them.  Gabriel’s running a G.D. prayer circle out by the solar panels, and his faith is rewarded with… green balloons.  What did you think?  Use the links below to send them in and we might just read them on our full coverage cast Tuesday.

We finally find out what’s on JPM’s forbidden floor, how Gaga found herself as a glampire, and delve deeper into the mystery of John’s relationship to the Ten Commandments Killer. All this and a solid feedback mailbag. I’d say we’ll see you next week, but I’d be lying, as AHS is taking the week of Thanksgiving off, and so are we. We’ll see you back two weeks from now!

Fargo - 206 – Rhinoceros

A.Ron is sick and the show notes are suffering for it. But this otherwise excellent podcast for Fargo’s extremely excellent episode 206, “Rhinoceros” managed to be recorded just before the precise instant he lost his voice. We talk a lot about Lou and Hank, the majesty that is Karl Weathers, Jabberwockies and aliens and just all kinds of stuff. And while A.Ron might be on death’s door, the email bag is quite healthy. Enjoy, take some vitamin C and get your flu shot, and we’ll see you next week!

Following The Leftovers - 207 – A Most Powerful Adversary

Another Sunday, another mind blowing episode of television, as The Leftovers introduces “A Most Powerful Adversary”. All this and a ton of feedback… the wait for Sunday is going to be painful

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 606 – Always Accountable

Jim and A.Ron want to hold someone “Always Accountable” for what is, on the surface, a serviceable enough episode of The Walking Dead, but becomes on reflection, a tedious seeming waste of time for us the viewers.
Daryl loses his bike and his ‘bow, Abraham gets some new threads and a new plan for life, and Sasha gets a walrus mustached possibly recovering death jockey for a boyfriend. Along the way, there’s forest fires, melted zombies, Cherokee roses, improbably diabetics, and a truck named Patty. All this and plenty of feedback, in a fairly dispirited podcast. We’ll hope for better this weekend, and either way, we’ll see you then.

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 606 – Always Accountable – Instant Take

Jim and A.Ron have seen episode 606, “Always Accountable” of The Walking Dead. Of that fact we are certain. We’re more fuzzy about the who, what and where of “Accountable”. But we’re crystal clear that the concept of Abraham possessing RPG’s is going to be pretty epic one of these days. I mean, look at what Carol did with a bottle rocket back at Terminus. Anyway, use the links below to get in touch and we’ll see you back here Tuesday for our full coverage podcast!

Up Yours, Downstairs!

Bomb Squad Goals

Kelly & Tom are joined by returning guest and loyal Cousin Lauren Parker to join in eviscerating the cinematic snooze button that is Suffragette. Apart from the fact that there are zero characters of color and the protagonist is a “composite character,” there’s plenty to chuckle about, including the story of how Brendan Gleeson’s beard…

American Horror Story Podcast - 506 – Room 33

Happy Friday the 13th / Double White Russian day! A.Ron and Cecily are here to talk about the latest episode of American Horror Story: Hotel, “Room 33”. We were treated to a delightful if non-sequitur love affair between Liz and Tristan, more Alex being Alex, John being John, Gaga kind of being awful, Iris being a weapons akimbo badass, and poor Scarlet once again being the neglected afterthought. Oh, and Gaga has a baby glampire, which isn’t as glamorous as one would think. All this plus a bit of the ol’ mailbag, and we’ll see you back next week to hopefully figure out who the police have wrongfully connected to the TCK murders!

Fargo - 205 – The Gift of the Magi

Fargo episode 205, “Gift of the Magi”, was a real deal… Both sides of the Gerhardt and KC war take grievous losses, tensions between Bear and Dodd threaten to boil over, Hanzee’s loyalties are tested, Peggy has an apparent change of heart, but alas, it’s too late; Ed has killed another fella, maybe two! We discuss all the happenings and theories going down this episode, with assists from our fellow fans.

Following The Leftovers - 206 – Lens

A.Ron and Jim have another insanely great experience in the insane world of “The Leftovers”, this one revolving around episode 206, “Lens”. We discuss the intense stare down between Nora and Erica, rocks thrown in glass houses, the mysteries that were revealed even as new ones are raised, subtle hints about the fate of the girls as revealed by the SDS’s questionnaire, a bunch of religious theories, Kevin’s confession, and much more, plus, tons of really great takes and feedback from our fellow fans. Also, we— wait, is that an eyelash on your cheek?
