This time we’re capping off Station Eleven with a talk about all 10 episodes before going into the surprise hit, Peacemaker, dipping a toe into The Righteous Gemstones, and revisiting Children of Time now that we’ve both finished it. This week we talk about the first 2 episodes of Ted Lasso’s latest season, the first Foundation novel and a bit about our hopes / expectations for the Apple TV+ series, Schmigadoon!, The Pacific, Zola, and Shadow and Bone. It has been another few months since A.Ron and I last dipped our toe into the HBO news stream and Anthony is between seasons of Electric Bookaloo. Seems like the perfect time to check in on the updates to casting, production and release dates for House of the Dragon and the whole slew of other Game of Thrones spin-offs that HBO has in the works.
This time A.Ron talks about shows he’s been watching and games he’s been playing including Mare of Easttown, The Good Place, and Resident Evil: Village, and Jim does the same, including Hacks, Tetris Effect, and NBA2k21.
Jim and A.Ron return for a special episode to cover everything we currently know about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, “House of the Dragon”, from the timeline, events, and background of the story, to the casting news, production updates, and even a little bit of meta discussion about the state of the franchise.
