We’re careening towards the end of the first season of HOTD and the drama just keeps getting hotter. A.Ron warms up to the Melisandre theory. Who is under the Assassin’s Creed cloak? Did you know that dragon eggs each come with a matching leather purse?
Whether you’re mourning or celebrating this season, tune in for Jim and A.Ron’s lively discussion on the season finale. In the words of Dylan Thomas, we’re asking this show “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against what this new acquisition might do to you.” If it doesn’t get a season 5, just could consider this show on a recursive loop.
The feels are running high in this episode. Sympathy for Danny? Believe it or not, you’ll feel it! Russians crying over American counterparts? It’ll tug your heartstrings. The eggheads get their badass moments to shine which confirms our personal theory that nerds are cool too.
Ouch. A lot of people avoided becoming chunky salsa, and we’re actually disappointed. The episode had to pack in A LOT of information to wrap up the season full of psychopaths and potential patricide. Between the smackdowns, The Deep’s stoic murder felt too tame and that’s when we know that The Boys has corrupted our brains. And, um, where did Stan Edgar go?! Next season looks like it might be a return to a similar place as Season 2.
The kids are gearing up and you should too. They’re all getting good bonding time before the final episode where we might lose one of the beloved kids. Nancy is smitten with Steve once again. Let’s be honest, who isn’t at this point? And we now have definitive proof that the clocks mean something, A.Ron would like his trophy now. Come back soon for our thoughts on the next mega episode!

Fans of Old Trek admired the show for its unique personality, but now Star Trek and all of its spinoffs have gone the way of the blockbuster. With uninspired action set pieces, unnecessary character trauma, and nonsensical behavior of Star Fleet Officers, we’re really missing Classic Trek. The intellectual heritage got blown away by the lens flares. Let’s explore the universe, not have another CGI battle.
