Bald Move Pulp - Back to the Future (1985)

Special thanks goes to Alafia McMurty for commissioning a podcast on the 1985 sci-fi comedy classic, “Back to the Future”. Starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, we’ve seen this movie a million times and love every second. Please enjoy the following mammoth podcast that covers nearly every aspect of the film, from the absurd to the poignant to the sublime.

Better Cast Saul - 210 – Klick

We’re trying to walk a fine line here. On the one hand, we are impressed as we can be with the quality, pacing, and storytelling on display throughout season two of AMC’s “Better Call Saul”. Heck, we even really like the finale, episode 210, “Klick”. But we also have a few problems with how they’re going about doing what they do, and worry that the mounting coincidences, reliance on karmic timing and a fairly limp reveal for the finale will eventually undermine the enterprise. And we have a giant mailbag full of opinions from you and your fellow fans.

HOTD: A House of the Dragon Podcast - Season Six Preview

The latest season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is nigh at hand, and thus we resume our “watch”! What does the show look like now that it is forced to carry on in absence of new books by creator George R.R. Martin? How will our spoiler section change and adapt? Where are all of our beloved characters as we left them, and what do we think will happen next? All these questions and many more are covered, and don’t forget; we’ll start our SpoiLore podcast this Friday with a special spoiler preview edition, where we’ll speculate with in-depth book knowledge and cover casting clues and spoilers from the trailer. It’s not too late to get feedback in for that one, so use the links below if you want to get in on the discussion!

The Because Show - Ep 174 Victimization and Susan’s Cooch

Amy and Susan get all talky about their feeeeelings and it makes everyone uncomfortable. But you’ll feel much better after! They also talk about chemistry, or lack of it (which doesn’t seem to stop Susan), there’s a visit to Amy’s Book Nook and you asked for it, you got it, an update about Susan’s personal…

Bald Move Pulp - Banshee – 403 – Job

We feel like “Banshee” is well and truly back this week with some nicely executed action set pieces including a pulse pounding foot chase as well as a double/triple cross snipe-fest, they payoff of which was good enough that we’ll both forgive a little Fat Au Ex Machina. Episode 403, “Job, featured bombshell reunions, revelations, and some hot former-neo-nazi sex, and we get around to discussing it all.

Direct - Guillermo del Toro – Hellboy

Hellboy is a detailed, wild ride that appeals directly to Levi and Eric’s geeky sensibilities. It also represents a unique and outstanding entry into the comic book genre. Plus, there are plenty of del Toro-isms to go around. Lovecraftian monsters? Check. Catholic symbolism? Check. Glowsticks? Check. Hellboy is a big story that goes down smooth. Bravo, Guillermo. Join us next week for Pan’s Labyrinth.
