Bald Move Pulp - Justice League (2017)

Cecily and A.Ron discuss the latest DC comic book movie attempt, and one with a lot of hopes riding on it, Justice League. It’s a real who’s who of comic book movies, does it manage to build on the momentum of the very good Wonder Woman, or is this another Superman vs Batman level disappointment?  Well, we’d have to say it falls right in between those two extremes.  It’s not great, but it’s also not terrible, and does just enough to hopefully give DC some room to breathe and establish these other presumably great characters in their own films and organically setup their universe for the next time the League has to assemble.

American Horror Story Podcast - 711 – Great Again

Did Murphy pull it off with the final episode of FX’s American Horror Story: Cult?  Did he in fact, make AHS “Great Again?”  Ehhh…  But A.Ron and Cecily feel that he made a few decent points about the state of modern America, at least one cautionary tale, but mostly this episode is an Inception style mess of flashbacks and flashforwards and who knows how deep into this dream we’re all in, but I’m pretty sure if we don’t get out soon we’ll all be stuck in limbo.  We try to restore sanity to the time line before considering a heaping helping of last minute feedback from our fellow fans.  Thanks for listening, it’s been a fun ride!

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - 804 – Some Guy

A.Ron and Jim praise and rip this episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead, “Some Guy”.  We dug a lot of the high concept medieval horror going on, and if nothing else, Ezekiel is a particularly interesting personality to mine pathos out of in this worn out zombie apocalypse we’re stuck in.  AND YET WE SMILE!  Because those car chases were right out of 80’s action / comedy, Carol was kicking Savior butt and taking names, until the tragic and outrageous death of a beloved character.  Then, feedback!  See you next week…

HOTD: A House of the Dragon Podcast - 210 – Valar Morghulis

Jim and A.Ron finish our retrospective re-watch of season two of HBO’s Game of Thrones with the finale, “Valar Morghulis”.  It’s a typical GoT finale, in that it does a great job of setting up the next season as something you can barely wait to arrive.  Arya could start super assassin training!  The White Walkers are marching on the Night’s Watch!  Dany’s dragons can spit fire!  We talk about these topics and a ton of last minute feedback before signing off with some spoilers for season 2 as well as debating a few lingering season 7 stuff in the secluded SpoiLore section.  See you next year!
