Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! (I know you said it in your head.) Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Harold Ramis are here to bust. Now it’s time to travel back to Pandora and journey with the Na’vi. Even though they’re blue cat-people, the family drama is relatable. This podcast was made possible by the generous support of Ann Merin. We thoroughly enjoyed this love letter to Star Trek. It’s got a shockingly deep roster of actors, launched the careers of at least 2 comedic talents, and showcases some outstanding effects work, considering the modest budget. It’s absolutely worth a watch if you’re a fan of Star Trek and somehow haven’t seen it.
Multiple-commissioner Josh from Saxapahaw, NC is back with another goodie, James Cameron’s take on the Aliens franchise. One of the all time great sci-fi action movies, it supplies nearly non stop action with a sturdy heroine to build around, lots of colorful characters to die, implacable, terrifying antagonists, and impressive effect and design work. Plus, we eulogize the late, great, Bill “Tons of Peace” Paxton. Thanks again, Josh, this was a lot of fun!
