Pickle Me This - S05E03 – A Rickconvenient Mort

People are doing their due diligence but, unlike Earth’s supply of aluminum, there might not be much to mine from this episode as far as the Rick and Morty canon goes. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t enjoyable though. Join us for discussions about teenage angst, eco-terorrism, and gay sex with your father on this week’s Pickle Me This podcast.

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988)

Thanks to epicmouthful for commissioning the podcast for Terry Gilliam’s “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen”. It’s absurd and hilarious, it’s got something to say, but above all else, it’s imaginative. I think that’s the highest compliment you could pay to the co-writer and director of this film as Gilliam brings his “Trilogy of Imagination” to a close. Join us for the podcast to hear our full review.

Win Win (2011)

Join us for a discussion about teenage trauma and angst filtered through Bobby Cannavale playing an accidental pedo and Paul Giamatti getting pile drived into the grass by a 15 year old. Thanks again to Dave from California for commissioning this podcast.

Best of the Baldies – Comedy (with Dunkirk re-release)

It’s almost time for our 6th annual Baldies Awards. In order to celebrate, we’re running back the past 5 years of the Baldies to pick an ultimate winner; a Baldy of Baldies, if you will. Each episode features an intro where we debate a previous Baldies category to crown an overall winner and then our full spoiler review of a previous Best Movie Baldy category winner, culminating in our pick for the best winner from the past 5 years.

This week we debate the Best Comedy category and re-run our Dunkirk review.

Galaxy Quest (1999)

This podcast was made possible by the generous support of Ann Merin. We thoroughly enjoyed this love letter to Star Trek. It’s got a shockingly deep roster of actors, launched the careers of at least 2 comedic talents, and showcases some outstanding effects work, considering the modest budget. It’s absolutely worth a watch if you’re a fan of Star Trek and somehow haven’t seen it.
