I’m not crying, you’re crying. In a whirling kaleidoscope of colors and emotion, Pixar’s Up is just as fun and emotionally packed in a current watch as it was when it came out over 10 years ago. Featuring a curmudgeon and a lively kid, this movie will take you on an adventure that gives hope amongst the grief. Grab a handkerchief and listen in to Jim and A.Ron fight back a few tears to chat about this movie.
Thanks to Brian, we’ve got another commission this week. It’s the first and last episodes of Invincible season 1. You might not expect a bookended sampling of a series to work very well, but aside from not knowing a few of the side characters, I apparently missed out on almost nothing by skipping the other 6 episodes. Join us for a discussion of this animated deconstruction of the superhero genre.
Rick and Morty is back for its fifth season. Is Rick and Morty just as funny as its always been or is the show just a sad, drunk shell of itself? Join us for some meta-discussion, as well as a review of the episode.
Jim and A.Ron give some brief thoughts on the brief episodes of Netflix’s new gonzo animated anthology, Love, Death, and Robots, before beginning deliberations on HBO’s new documentary, The Case Against Adnan Syed. We’ll be off on vacation all next week! See you when we return!
