Last Friday we sat down (virtually) with David S. Goyer, the creator and executive producer of Foundation, to ask him some of the questions we’ve had about the show thus far, as well as the questions you submitted to us. Apologies to anyone whose question we didn’t get to and a big thank you to David for sharing his time with us. Respect and enjoy the interview.
This episode is more action-heavy than the previous ones and the potential consequences for Terminus are frightening. But maybe only half as frightening as the consequences that a certain artificial life form might experience after bowing to her moon goddess right in front of her clone god. For some reason we’re incapable of talking less. We tried to talk faster. Nothing worked. So, going forward, we’re going to be splitting off the feedback from the main discussion and analysis. It remains to be seen if that can get our episodes under 2 hours. Respect and enjoy the podcast.
This week we cap off season 2 of Ted Lasso, and the first season of several shows including Reservation Dogs, Squid Game, and Midnight Mass. Then A.Ron talks about his fascination with intelligent sci-fi spiders in the book Children of Time.
The Empire might be absent from this episode but that didn’t keep us from appreciating what Foundation is doing in S01E05 “Upon Awakening”. Join us for the podcast to hear us discuss interests ranging from galactic calendar systems to the process of being deprogrammed after life-long indoctrination in a cult.

And boy, do we sink our teeth in for a big ol’ bite with another near-2-hour episode.
We really enjoyed the ambitious approach to storytelling that Foundation is employing in its third episode, “The Mathematician’s Ghost”. The themes resonant throughout both times and places and every plot point and character seems to be a lens that can be looked through both ends of to reveal two different images. Join us for a…
Apple released the first two episodes of their sci-fi epic “Foundation” this week and “epic” is exactly what they were. There are so many visual and narrative intricacies to dig into in these two hours of TV. That’s probably why it took us as much time as Apple spent making the episodes, to properly cover them. Join us next week for a regular-sized episode.
We’re about a week out from the premiere of the Apple TV+ epic sci-fi series, Foundation, which means it’s time to talk about the trailers we’ve seen, our history with the source material, expectations for the series adaptation, and the format of our weekly coverage, among other things. Join us for the preview today and come back for our coverage of the first three episodes this Monday.
