Bad Guy Bigby – The Wolf Among Us – Episode 2
We’re back with another episode of Bad Guy Bigby. Can we crack the case before the case cracks us?
We’re back with another episode of Bad Guy Bigby. Can we crack the case before the case cracks us?
A.Ron and Jim continue their rewatch of season two of HBO’s Game of Thrones with “The Night Lands”. On this podcast, we discuss the opposite of a headless horsemen, Tyrion’s tragic flaws, Theon’s ignorance of his personal history and that of his people, the Iron Islanders, and the moral quandary of the Night’s Watch. Also, A.Ron apologizes for muffing up the White Raven lore from the previous podcast. All this and tons of feedback coming your way!
We’re back from BYPAX and ready for another lunch. We’ll be talking about our adventures in Chicago and answering your questions.
Jim and A.Ron are here to chew bubble gum and talk about television, and we’re all out of meatballs. We discuss the last three episodes of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty (“The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy”, “Rest and Ricklaxation”, “The Ricklantis Mixup”) starting at timecode 00:00:00, and wrapping up with a conversation about David Simon and George Pelecanos’ new HBO series about the 1970’s pornography scene, The Deuce that begins at 00:00:00. Enjoy!
Jim and A.Ron have seen Darren Aronofsky’s newest film, Mother!, and A.Ron hates it while Jim isn’t sure. But it’s rated 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, so don’t let us put you off it. It’s a piece of art, and it makes you feel things, that’s for sure. Oh, by the way, if it hasn’t been clear, me — that is to say, A.Ron — is the guy who writes all of these little stub articles that no one reads and I’m still kind of angry and raw that I sat through this film, so I’m going to see myself out. Enjoy the free part of the movie review and trailer talk, and if you want to hear us try to decompress the film, there’s that too but only if you’re a Club Member. See you next week for Kingsmen 2: The Golden Circle.
Cecily and A.Ron turn on the night lights and light up our organic beeswax candles for FX’s American Horror Story: Cult as we consider this week’s episode, “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”. We discuss the new beekeeping neighbors, Winter’s very forward notion of relaxing Ally, and the importance of gun safety training for new terrified liberal gun owners, and much more. See you next week!
This is a podcast where Jim and I, using tools created for the purpose, randomly generate a title for a fictional TV show. We then pitch ideas to each other based on what that show would be like if it were real. We like to call it, “Quit Yer Pitchin’!”
And now our (re)watch begins with “The North Remembers”, the season two premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones series. We’ll be working our way through the entire second season, the first half of the episode is entirely spoiler free for first time viewers, then we’ll have a mini-SpoiLore section after we play the end of pod theme music for people who are caught up on the books / show. In this episode we’re appreciating Tyrion’s swagger, Sansa’s strength, Robb’s toughness, and Jon’s girlish good looks. We’ll have more every Tuesday over the next ten weeks, so settle in for a long trip down GoT memory lane! See you next week!
Jim and A.Ron consider some book-based speculation and theories from the latest episode of Game of Thrones! If you’re a show-only watcher who doesn’t want any spoilers, it’s best to just skip this one. Need to catch up? Here’s a Tinfoil SpoiLore archive of previous podcasts by topic. Each link has a time code listed so you can jump right to the tinfoil topic of the week for your convenience and listening pleasure.
Whoo boy, are we in for a season of FX’s American Horror Story, subtitled “Cult”. For A.Ron, it’s a little long on clowns and a little light on Cult, and Cecily wonders who or what is the focus of the social skewering going on in “Election Night”, the season premiere. It’s too early to tell a lot of things, like how seriously Murphy is taking all of this, if every clown or even any clown we see is real, and exactly how much screaming Evan Peters will be doing this year, but hey, we’re all here for the ride. See you next week!
