This episode split its time between the three going plot concerns, which we appreciated. The political maneuverings on The Maiden continue to excite us. What’s happening with Brother Dawn on Trantor is raising a lot of interesting questions about cloning while answering others. Things are also getting good on the Terminus side now that we know more about Invictus. Join us for discussion of Foundation S01E07 “Mysteries and Martyrs” on the podcast.

Last Friday we sat down (virtually) with David S. Goyer, the creator and executive producer of Foundation, to ask him some of the questions we’ve had about the show thus far, as well as the questions you submitted to us. Apologies to anyone whose question we didn’t get to and a big thank you to David for sharing his time with us. Respect and enjoy the interview.
This episode is more action-heavy than the previous ones and the potential consequences for Terminus are frightening. The mystery of Salvor Hardin continues to unfold as Terminus is threatened, but the real meaty stuff is once again happening on Trantor, including the slab of beef that is Lee Pace. And boy, do we sink our teeth in for a big ol’ bite with another near-2-hour episode.

The themes resonant throughout both times and places and every plot point and character seems to be a lens that can be looked through both ends of to reveal two different images. Join us for a…
Apple released the first two episodes of their sci-fi epic “Foundation” this week and “epic” is exactly what they were. There are so many visual and narrative intricacies to dig into in these two hours of TV. That’s probably why it took us as much time as Apple spent making the episodes, to properly cover them. Join us next week for a regular-sized episode.
