We fell for the cast reunion ploy. It drew us in, it’s not our fault we watched this Tyran-atrocious dinosaur movie. The twinkle in Sam Neill’s eye was squashed by the crush of too many species of dinosaurs. And Chris Pratt is now like that cool guy from high school, he already peaked and now he’s just tired. Listen to A.Ron’s impression of Jeff Goldblum when he’s flirting with a woman, there’s nothing like it. Make sure you’re in the club for our next first run movie: Thor: Love and Thunder.
Time for another biopic! This time it’s Taron Egerton doing a nearly-perfect Elton John. We don’t quite agree on how much fun the movie is but it’s certainly not the fault of the excellent cast.
Jim and A.Ron give their thoughts on a terrible, no good, boring film starring Matthew McConaughey, Bryce Dallas Howard, Édgar Ramírez and directed by Stephen Gaghan; Gold. It’s the definition of a mediocre film that half-asses themes that much better films have done very recently, including The Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle, and The Big Short. We also discuss the upcoming lineup of first run Bald Movies, before getting to the Club only spoiler section. See you in a few weeks for John Wick 2!
