Fargo - 209 – The Castle

Where you come down on Fargo’s latest episode, “The Castle”, and perhaps the season as a whole, entirely hinges on whether you swallow the final act. We did not, and thus are in the uncomfortable position of not liking and yet still admiring Noah Hawley’s bold experiment in television. Hopefully some of our concerns will evaporate by the time the finale episode is over next week, but if not, we promise we’ll be here with some pod therapy.

Day 8 – 25 Days of Bald Move Christmas

It’s day eight of our 25 Days of Christmas extravaganza! Today we discuss how disgusting licorice-flavored booze is, where it spawns from and what that town’s name actually means. And of course, we grab another pair of bottles down from our tree and deploy another day’s worth of our new Xmas carol.

Watching Dead - A Walking Dead Podcast - Mid-Season 6 Wrap Up

From the promising start, The Walking Dead tripped and fell it’s way towards a disappointing first half of season six. WTF is the problem? Can they recover? Should we care any more? All these questions and more are pondered by Jim and A.Ron with our fellow fans. Regardless of where we’re at now, we WILL be back for the back half of season six, rain or shine, and hopefully you’ll be there with us.

Following The Leftovers - 210 – I Live Here Now

You know, I can’t really adequately sum up in this one little text box how we all feel about this season of The Leftovers, and at this point, you already know if you’re going to listen or not, yeah? Day 7 – 25 Days of Bald Move Christmas

It’s day seven of our Days of Christmas extravaganza! We talk about bad drinking experiences, share some fan artwork and cool stuff, and A.Ron shows how family Christmas pictures can go bad at the claws of a crazed feline. And of course, we grab another pair of bottles down from our tree and deploy another day’s worth of our new Xmas carol.

Bald Move Pulp - Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

Andrew “The Commissioner” Mount “strikes” again from his hidden rebel base, this time forcing us to watch Episode V of the Star Wars saga, “The Empire Strikes Back.”  Which, incidentally, depending on the age of the A.Ron you ask, is either his favoritist movie of all time, or top three.  Either way, it’s a treat.  Once again, Jim and I try to sort through our childhood and adult memories of this holiest of trilogies to give it the treatment it deserves. If you missed in the first time, or would like to listen again, you can check out our coverage of A New Hope, also brought to you by The Commish.

Direct - Quentin Tarantino – Death Proof

Death Proof is supposed to be so bad it’s good — but does it actually achieve the “good” part? This week, Eric and Levi discuss one of Tarantino’s most divisive films, with a little help from their friend from Germany. The talk explores which characters are likable, the merits of practical effects, and the actors that make Tarantino sing. Join us next week for Inglourious Basterds.

Days 4, 5, and 6 – 25 Days of Bald Move Christmas

Whooo! We get our weekend started off RIGHT by power slamming 3 Days of Christmas, which of course means three grabs of booze of the old tree. This led to a memorable Lunch with Jim and A.Ron, which we recorded immediately after. Well, I don’t think I’m going to remember a bit of it, but you know, it’s recorded, so there’s that. 3 days, 3 drinks, 3 new versus of our song, and we’ll see you Monday as we resume our countdown to Xmas!
