Cecily and A.Ron dissect the latest episode of FX’s American Horror Story: 1984, “Episode 100”. The most shocking thing that happened was that we set our expectations too high. There are cameos, flashbacks, rock music, and lots of blood in this episode though! Have you gotten your tickets to the Camp Redwood Food & Music Fest yet?!
Jim and A.Ron get straight into the questions this time, because they are on a tight schedule! They answer everyone’s burning question, WTF is up with your lack of The Expanse coverage; Cecily and Alexis’ coverage of His Dark Materials; The Dresden Files dream casting; vampires in dusters; thoughts on Dark and other foreign recommendations; should D&D have known they were writing fan fiction; gimmick products that really work; how to de-skunk a pet; thoughts on the Colts and football in VERY general terms; carpal tunnel issues; the new grand (re?) opening of the Vonnegut Museum; the possibility of an arts and crafts on a drunken lunch; where to put your cart when you are done; thoughts on when it’s appropriate to use ketchup and gravy; shitting your pants stories; bidet updates; upcoming movies; favorite movies changing in a 5 year span; thoughts on Melt Bar and Grilled; playing Apex Legends; experience with Halloween pranks; and how to live with a clone of yourself.
Surprise! Cecily and Alexis (pin-y) will be covering HBO’s latest His Dark Materials starting Nov. 4, with full episode coverage posted the Wednesday after an episode airs.
In preparation, they have released coverage of the 2007 movie, The Golden Compass. This movie was a fun romp that is different from the books and confusing during most points, but nonetheless, a fun jumping off point for starting coverage of His Dark Materials. Please enjoy this episode, and join us again in November for the series premiere!
In Episode #3, originally aired 10.31.2014: Happy Halloween! Jim and A.Ron wax poetic about their favorite beer of all time, and knock back a 750ml on air!
Jim and A.Ron have seen the latest episode of Mr. Robot, Forbidden. They discuss the perils of mutual partnership and what exactly is forbidden. Whiterose decides to deviate from the plan, and Elliot needs to find a new therapist. Don’t worry, you’ll only have to rewatch the first three seasons twice in order to get all of the references. Don’t forget, someone is always listening.
There’s a lot wrapping up in The Deuce this week, however, not the series itself. Jim and A.Ron discuss the future of Eileen’s projects, Lori’s intentions, Vinnie’s new businesses, and much more! Leave Us A Review on Apple Podcasts Join the discussion: Email | Forums | Facebook | Twitter
Jim and A.Ron are watching the Watchmen. They’re impressed with what has been a divisive episode and what might end up being a divisive season of television. There is a lot of hidden and some obvious callbacks to the graphic novels and 2007 movie sprinkled throughout. They also discuss squid rain, confidential documents, Ryan Murphy’s latest work in American Hero Story, and the musical Oklahoma.
In the season opener, the Citadel of Ricks was dealt a greivous blow by the Rickest Rick of them all. How have the Ricks of the central finite curve been faring since then? Not great, Bob. After we talk about all the sinister secrets on display, Gustavo Sorola (@sorola), co-founder of Rooster Teeth and host…
