Hey everybody, surprise! Jim and I are going to take a leap of faith and start covering Fargo day one! This cast is just a little stub where we talk about our affection for the Coen Bros, our favorite Coen movies, and show case our complete lack of foreknowledge about the upcoming season.
Jim and A.Ron are back to talk about the upcoming season of Mad Men, which will be split into two seven episode parts, one beginning this Sunday, and another starting the spring of 2015. How will 1969 treat Don and company? Find out our thoughts and predictions as we discuss a lot of fan questions…
Another season has wrapped up, and Jim and A.Ron are here to tie it in a bow. We had some laughs, some groans, and some brain aneurysms along the way. Before we sign off until October, we’ll talk about the season as a whole, where it fits into the Walking Dead season hierarchy, and consider plenty of listener feedback. See you in a few months!
Join A.Ron and Jim as we recap the action from the season four premier of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “Two Swords”. We discuss Jaime’s cold reception by Tywin, Cersei and Joffrey, Tyrion caught in the sorriest love triangle of all time, the impressive introduction of Prince Oberyn, the less than impressive introduction of Daario 2.0, and Arya and the Hound kicking ass and crossing names off her list. All this, plus your quality feedback, and our “Spoilers beyond the Wall (of music)” section where I talk at length about another tinfoil theory out of Westeros!
What a great way to open the season! Find out Jim and A.Ron’s first impressions of Prince Oberyn, the new and improved(?) Daario, and the increasingly entertaining and satisfying Arya and the Hound roadshow. Stay tuned, we’ll be back Tuesday with full coverage including a scene by scene breakdown along with lots of your feedback!
We’re back! Sort of… A.Ron and Jim take the reins of Bald Move’s Game of Thrones coverage. In this preview episode, we talk briefly about what happened with the Night’s Watch, Jim’s Game of Thrones bonefides, what we’re excited for this season, listener feedback, and a hefty spoilers section, including the first “Tinfoil Conspiracy Theory” for book lovers and adventurous fans! Please let us know how we’re doing!
Wow! I know it left some people cold, but for our money, The Walking Dead season four finale, “A”, was firing on almost all cylinders. We got a taught episode with lots of tension, some truly excellent dialog and performances, and some really spectacular gore. It wasn’t perfect, but it was as satisfying an end to this season as we were likely to get. Topics for discussion include A/B path testing, Beth’s Terminus concert, the Passion of the Grimes, tech startups in the zombie apocalypse, and Rick’s Gun Farm 2.0. All this, your feedback, and a bit of light spoilers for next season. Join us back here next week for our Season Four Wrap Up cast where we’ll sign off until next October.
Hey there! A.Ron here. I bet you’re wondering, “Where’s the Night’s Watch?” Well, I have good news, and bad news. The bad news is that the Night’s Watch is kaput, dead, donezo. The good news is that Jim, who you may know as my co-host for Breaking Good, Watching Dead, Mad Men, etc will be joining me for a new Game of Thrones podcast on Bald Move! Jim is a book virgin, so I’ll be keeping the format largely the same. While we will remain a show-first podcast, we will still be talking about book spoilers and popular book theories in our spoiler section after our show music is over.
What can I say about tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead? It was amazing, an apex, arresting, and artful. Gimple, Kang, and MacLaren joined forces to make tonight’s season finale, number 416 “A” a really special experience for TWD fans. It was a joy to watch and we were both really excited to cast about…
