We’re continuing our nostalgic look back at the Very Special episodes of yesteryear with a look into how the Keatons handle an alcoholic Tom Hanks on “Family Ties”. Uncle Ned is struggling, but Hanks being Hanks still draws plenty of increasingly inappropriate laughter from the audience. Can his family win him over with some tough love? If you’re not familiar with Family Ties, the other major draw is getting to see a young Michael J. Fox in his teen-heart-throb era on his climb to ultimate 80’s super stardom.
Shogun – S01E07 – A Stick of Time
Shogun just can’t miss. This episode recontextualizes some of the death-oriented attitudes of previous episodes. Jim and A.Ron, self-described aging prostitutes, are tackling this episode with all the fervor of someone preparing for battle. With ice cold lines, tragic backstories, and surprises bursting through the wall, this episode will have you on the edge of your seat.

We’re taking a bit of a detour through our nostalgic trip back through the action shows of yesteryear, with a Very Special Season of Feeny. That’s right, we’re checking out the cheesy, cringy, gather the family around to watch a 23 minute attempt to tackle serious societal issues. And first up, BOY MEETS WORLD takes on the wackadoo world of cults. And of course, we get to shine a spotlight on the “real” Mr. Feeny, who appears in this episode with 100% less tire but about 1000% more fire.
The Ones Who Live - S01E06 – The Last Time
It’s the last ride of Rick and Michonne (maybe) and it’s streets ahead of the previous episode. Jim and A.Ron feel like they’ve seen this plot before…oh yeah, The Walking Dead is recycling their scripts again. The finale is a clip show of past foul deeds.
