Jim and A.Ron are loving the first episode of season five! They discuss dragons, drunken dwarves, woodland witches, near misses with Sansa, and much more. Tune in Tuesday for the full coverage cast!
Starts approximately at 10:10pm EST!
Dragons and swords and whatnot.
Jim and A.Ron talk about their hopes, fears, and predictions for season five, as we go around Westeros and Essos recapping where our various heroes and villains are as we left them last season… We discuss improvements and changes to our coverage this year, all of our favorite characters, how Jim feels as a non-book reader about the series leap frogging the books, and much more. Next week, the spoiler section! A.Ron will host a book reader support group for those facing the trauma of having the books spoiled by the show, discuss what the hell is going on with some of the changes and alterations that have been revealed thus far in trailers and print, and preview the video enhancement to the upcoming and totally revamped SpoiLore section!
Jordy, it’s episode 140! You asked for it, you got it, this week on the show we travel to the real world, the digital world, out of this world, and then back to the real world. It’s an adventure that’ll take you from Alice Springs to Essen – so put it in your ears and…
Jim and A.Ron always pay their debts. We owe you a cast, and today we deliver on that promise. We talk about Florence + The Machine, Battle for Hill 218 (free online version), Battlestar Galactica (board game AND series), that fantastic new HBO series “Game of Thrones” that just finished up it’s first season, A.Ron’s revolutionary idea for a “sincerity” movement, and the surprising news that Kickstarter is the 3rd largest independent comic book publisher.
The fans have been clammoring (clammoring!) for Jim and A.Ron to sing a duet of the inimitable Garth Brook’s “Low Places” for over a year now. Actually, that’s a lie. But! You can still hear it if you stick around after the outro in this week’s episode! Leading up to the big finish, we give a bit of PSN update, I talk gearhead bullshit for a minute, we talk about the local board gaming scene, the mighty THOR not sucking nearly as much as we presupposed, and whether Chris Hemsworth could earn a spot in the badass pantheon.
It’s a mixed bag this week as the guys lounge with drinks to discuss Predators, Karate Kid, Codex Alera, Star Trek and Video Games. Hold on to ya butts cause it’s a wild ride.
Whether it’s RTS, fantasy or anime, every geek is immune to the charms of some band of the geek spectrum. Jim, Peter and A. Ron confront their biases and try to figure out why they exist in episode 12 of Blue Yonder.
