A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Podcast - 702 – Stormborn

Jim and A.Ron “Stormborn” was a great episode of Game of Thrones, with tons of highlight scenes. It also has a bit of a Euron and Sandsnake problem, but we don’t think it’s fatal, assuming Dan and David can tear off the affected portions of the show and apply medicinal ointment to stem the spread of ludicrous jetpackery and shipbuildery that threaten our collective suspension of disbelief. We also discuss Sansa and Jon’s uneasy sharing of power, Littlefinger’s increasing desperation, what price Tyrion will pay for his plan failing, and Arya’s emotional reunion on the show. All this, tons of feedback, and WAIT THERE’S MORE! A whole SpoiLore edition of the show coming out Friday!

Bald Move Prestige - Dunkirk (2017)

We’ve seen Christopher Nolan’s new film, the war epic Dunkirk, and found it hard to immediately react to. It’s a very visceral, claustrophobic, unflinching, and moving film, epic in scale, but equally effective in zooming in to focus on a small number of actual human beings to focus on and care about. It offers views of the best and worst of humanity, and constantly dares you to both judge and empathize with the men dealing death and narrowly avoiding it. Another fantastic film from Nolan.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Podcast - 701 – Dragonstone

Jim and A.Ron consider the season opener of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “Dragonstone”. Entire great houses fall, Queen Daenerys, lands on Westerosi shores, and still some fans considered this episode a dull affair! We talk about expectations, Arya’s brush with humanity, the Hound digging graves, Jaime’s odds for redemption, tons of listener feedback, and much more! And we’re not done. Stay tuned for Friday for our SpoiLORE edition!
