Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of some weird ass love stories. In a show full of brilliant astronauts and hardcore investors, it’s no wonder that tensions run high. We talk about Harambe, yes the gorilla (RIP) and the office politics that are making their way into space. Many of the characters in this show can be described as a piece of work, but Karen takes the cake.
The satire is hitting close to home. You may feel bad about yourself, but so long as you don’t sleep with Butcher, there is hope for you yet. We’re sensing some red herrings in the mix, who is telling the truth? And place your bets, who will be a smoky corpse or chunky human salsa by the end of the episode?

Homelander is…just the worst. Everyone seems to have some sort of plan, but not telling other people the plan…maybe that’s why it’ll take a whole five years to execute? Butcher is crunching V24 and gearing up for a fight with an opponent that may not be as super as expected. And if you want Jim and A.Ron to believe a character is dead, you better show the corpse. The tools are present to cripple and de-power Homelander, but is it possible?
The show that took home multiple Baldies is back with an exciting looking season. In this scifi realism, we wonder how the show will tackle how space is viewed in an age of expansion, public and private space exploration, and heroism from different perspectives. This episode has big portal energy. We got the twist we were hoping for, but it leaves the question: which came first, the Vecna or the egg? We’re getting nervous about those wounds on one of our beloved characters. And we’re gearing up for Hopper’s next superhero-esque move.
With the finale right around the corner, we’re hoping for some surprises. The characters are still in transit, but we feel like they’re building to something big with Eleven’s backstory. While waiting for her powers to return, we’re also anticipating the death of one of our favorite characters, and enjoying Murray and Joyce’s adventures. The Satanic Panic is sweeping up members of the Hellfire Club, so now is not the time to let people know that I play a Tiefling.
Ha! You thought Nina was a person? We totally didn’t. Nope, haha, we always knew. Speaking of never being confused, we’ve got some theories and predictions that we’re holding tight to. We’re witnessing the point of no return and an escape that could only happen in the 80s, nothing to do with Kurt Russell in New York though. And how many modems can you recognize just by the sound? I guarantee it’s more than me, but less than Jim and A.Ron.
The Vecna isn’t the only horrifying thing that you see this season. Shedding the skin of the fun, breezy Stranger Things that we started with a few years ago, this season is going down darker roads. We have to sit with these characters through more adult situations as they try to navigate these with kid solutions. And it is starting to seem that Hopper is likely evolving into a Steven McQueen-esque superhero. Maybe.
