Jim and A.Ron are flabbergasted at what Fargo is able to get away with doing and still remain Fargo. It’s pretty incredible, actually. We discuss the mid-west gang war that provides the broad strokes of the season, lay odds on how many different way’s A.Ron will manage to pronounce “Gerhardt”, talk about Jesse Plemmon’s enduring “MATT DAY-MON” impression that he keeps finding ways to get paid for, and talk about our first impressions of the weird and wonderful characters we’ve met so far. First off, I apologize for the terrible audio quality of this podcast. As I explain in the intro, I’m doing a remote podcast from Seattle and the results are kind of garbage. Speaking of garbage, that’s kind of my opinion of the first half of the season premiere episode of American Horror Story: Hotel, “Checking In”. Then it starts to do some character and world building in the second half and picks up. We discuss Glampires, my thoughts on a man being sodomized with a chrome plated drill bit, Gaga’s eyebrows, and much more. With a bit of feedback, and a bit of spoilers at the very tail end. Jim and A.Ron were gobsmacked by the latest Justified, episode 611 entitled “Fugitive Number One”… Yost shamed us for all our criticism by deploying a pulse pounding, shocking, awesome, and very tight hour that sets the table beautifully for an epic final two episodes.
