Justified - Justified Hiatus

Good news and bad news this week for our continued Justified coverage. The good news is that we’re still covering Justified on our new show, The Bald Move TV Podcast. The bad news is that means we’re no longer going to be doing a “featured” show around Justified.

Thanks to all our fans, especially to our embedded Harlan reporter Ted C. and Ed K. who helped line up our first insider interviews. Hope to continue to hear from you guys and hope you continue to enjoy our Justified coverage.

Bald Move Pulp - House of Cards, Arrested Development, Downton Abbey, Girls, Archer, Portlandia, Justified

Every time we ask our fellow fans “how can we improve our show?”, the number one answer is always, “cover more shows!”  Well good news! Now we’re covering ALL THE SHOWS!  Join us for our first experimental podcast where, instead of doing a single feature show, we spend a few minutes talking about all the stuff we’re watching.  Honestly, this is a little shaky, and it will probably take a few weeks for us to get our footing and figure out how to pace the show and work in feedback optimally.

The bad news is that our feature show, the “Justified Podcast” is being decommissioned to make room in our schedules for this new mash-up show.  But fear not, talking about Justified is still a priority at Bald Move HQ, and it gets the lion share of the time in the cast.  Note that we are still planning on doing featured shows for “Game of Thrones”, “Mad Men”, “Breaking Bad”, as well as “The Walking Dead”, but we hope to keep this new show going year ’round.

Primer for Justified

A lot of people have been writing us to know how they can catch up to FX’s Justified, which we covered in depth during it’s season 3 run.  The thing about Justified is that it took them quite a while to find what it was about their show that was fantastic, so the first season…

Justified - Taylor Elmore Interview – Season 3 Wrap Up

Hey Justified fans, we’re back for a season 3 wrap up! We’re happy to have Justified Writer / Producer Taylor Elmore on the show again to guide us through last season’s twists and turns and give us an idea of what we might be in store for in the coming season. I hope you enjoy listening to our conversation as much as we enjoyed recording it.

Justified - 313 – “Slaughterhouse”

The season three finale of Justified, “Slaughterhouse”! Some of you thought it was brilliant, some of you liked it, some of you were disappointed, but it happened, and now we need to talk about it, and where it leaves us for seasons to come. We talk about our reactions, the recap, what Yost says is coming down the pike, and lots of your feedback. Hopefully we’ll have one more retrospective with a special guest, but if not, see you next season!

Justified - 312 – Coalition

A pretty satisfying lead up to the finale that is marred only by a cleverly camouflaged but ultimately implausible escape attempt that involved opening up a kimono a little too much for everyone’s comfort. Quarles, Boyd, Limehouse, Dickie, and Raylan are all on a collision course. Who’s going to survive? We’ll find out next week, but until then, enjoy our recap, listener feedback, and a less useless than usual spoiler section, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Justified - 311 – Measures

As I sit watching A.Ron chug moonshine and polish his revolver I can’t help but recount our history, wondering if I’ve done anything that might justify retribution. I’m fairly certain that the worst I deserve is a dutch oven next week when we share a room at PAX but it makes a man nervous. Since he’s indisposed, there will be no witty remarks nor clever wordplay; unless you consider the revolver comment a euphemism.

Justified - 310 – “Guy Walks Into a Bar”

It’s super late, and I’m in the grip of the ‘shine, so let’s make this short and sweet like the last gulp of Magg’s apple pie. This episode was Neal McDonough’s Emmy submission, and just about ’nuff said. Raylan is bad ass, Art is funny, Quarles is scary, Wynn wonders what the fuck he’s gotten into, and hell, there’s even some Dicky action. What more do you want?

Justified - 308 – “Watching the Detectives”

Who’s in more trouble? Raylan, Boyd, or Quarles? We break down this and more in this week’s episode covering another awesome hour of Justified. Join Jim and A.Ron as they discuss Limehouse making power plays, Raylan’s legal trouble, Quarles’ being tempted by the Beast within, Raylan putting on a clinic for how not to handle the police, and ask; does Wynn’s carpet match the drapes?!
