The Because Show – Ep 54 – Sleep Orgasms

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2013! The Because Show knows that with great power comes great responsibility, therefore we pulled ourselves together and recorded an episode for you. So many things to talk about – including sleep orgasms, sweaterphenania, overglamming and holiday hangovers. Jerilyn, Susan and Amy are ready to embark on 7 Days Of Sweaters on The Because Show facebook page, where we and all enthusiastic listeners upload photos of their best, worst or favorite sweater. V-neck, crewneck, cowl, sweatervest, shrug – we don’t even care! Just take a picture of your cute self wearing a sweater and let us ogle your fair visage.

Books! Some new interesting books have crossed our nightstands as of late, including:

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn “Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in “The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas.” As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived–and famously testified that her fifteen-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who’ve long forgotten her.”

Ready Player One by Ernest Kline “…a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.”

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield (recommended by a listener) “Reclusive author Vida Winter, famous for her collection of twelve enchanting stories, has spent the past six decades penning a series of alternate lives for herself. Now old and ailing, she is ready to reveal the truth about her extraordinary existence and the violent and tragic past she has kept secret for so long.”
