Light news today, like most Fridays. I’ll definitely be expanding on my essay this weekend on where Gus, Walt, and Hank are heading this weekend; like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter if you want to know when it hits. Can’t wait for this week’s episode to get here, because it looks like it’s going to be another real doozy.
Speaking of which, IMDB has an exclusive sneak peak of “Shotgun”. It’s basically Walt stumbling around in the lab, struggling with the forklift without Jesse, until the very end. As you know, I’m pretty sensitive to spoilers, but honestly this spoils nothing. It’s a tantalizer, if anything.
Goddamn, the boys at Behind the Cutting Edge did it again, this time landing Dean “Hank” Norris for an interview. I haven’t got a chance to listen to it yet, but knowing the guys like I do, it’s not going to be your average, bullshit, cookie cutter interview.
Which leads me to my next point of interest, which is an insightful interview with Norris at the NY Post. You guys will know that I’m very interested to know what’s going on in Hank’s mind right now. Jim and I thought that Hank questioning Walt on the “WW” dedication in the journal was a bit more than the typical Hank ball busting, and it seems Dean Norris agrees. “I don’t know how sure Hank is, but I played it that maybe he’s testing Walt to see how he would react,” says Norris. “It wasn’t just an innocent toss out there. Think back to the first season in Walter’s high-school lab, where Hank did a similar thing. But he was a different Hank then, joking around . . . now, four seasons later, there might be something to it.” The article adds, “In this Sunday’s episode, “Shotgun,” the Hank/Walter cat-and-mouse game takes another strange turn, due in part to Walt’s bravado.” Very interesting! Like I said, a real doozy!
That’s all for me today. Email us your thoughts about the show, any links or news we might have missed, or any original takes you want to get out of your system.
