203 – “Save The Last One” – Watching Dead

First off, apologies for the substandard audio quality.  We messed up our audio checks and ended up recording on the mac’s internal mic and not our soundboard.  It’s still listenable, but we’ll try to do better going forward.

This week, we talk about backlash backlashes, how scary The Walking Dead really is, Shane’s face-heel turn, Rick’s optimism versus Lori’s fatalism, and lots of listener feedback.  After the music, we talk a bit of spoilers, including comic spoilers!  Stay away if that doesn’t appeal to you.

We could really use your support on  iTunes!  If you like what we’re doing, please give us a five star review and consider subscribing, this helps us out in the rankings and expands us to new listeners!  If you’d like to help support our cast, please use our Amazon affiliate link to buy the stuff you’re already buying.  It costs you nothing, and helps pay for our bandwidth.  Win/win!

We love getting your thoughts, speculation, and/or feedback, and try our level best to get as much of these in to our cast as possible, so keep emailing it to us.  You can also follow Jim on Twitter, or gab with me on Facebook.  Thanks again for listening, and we’ll see you next week!

Intro/outro music:  ”Watching Dead Theme” by MySteriana.

  • I think the primary reason Rick was retelling the Shane-stealing-the-car story to Lori was to convince themselves that Shane would make it back in time (the secondary purpose is to give insight on Shane’s character).

During the hanging zombie scene, I think the arrow was wasted simply because no one climbed up that tree and retrieved it. It couldn’t be too hard to do if the dude was able to climb up there to tie the rope in the first place. Climb. Cut. Pull.

The Shane/Otis stuff is confusing. I mean, five seconds before, Shane was on the ground saying he was done/giving up… where was this sense of self preservation then? Yeah, Shane isn’t remorseful, he just doesn’t want to be found out and his blinking eyes made me want to tear the lids off.

And the zombie girl trailer was for Dead Island, not Dead Alive.
